ABOUT SHOSHANA

I have built an interior decorating business based on inspiration and challenge. Two things I find very rewarding. I am motivated by the people I work with, by the transformation of space, and by the happiness my clients feel in their newly designed space.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Florida and am an associate member of IDS (The Interior Design Society). Since 2002 I have been passionately working on residential spaces in New York, New Jersey and now Allentown Pennsylvania and the greater Lehigh Valley.

My fascination with the the beauty and creativity of a home stems from my appreciation of art (of all kinds). I come from a long line of creative individuals who I am very proud of. My courage comes from my dear Mother, who will always be an inspiration to me.

MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The rooms we live in are an extension of ourselves. They should be functional and express our personal unique style. Pulled together, a room creates a mood. It is a backdrop for what you want to do in that space. The most important question I ask my clientele before beginning my design process is ‘how do you want to feel in this room in your home? Understanding the mood you are trying to achieve is the basis that my interior design plan is built on. Through color choices, lighting, furniture style and accents, I can create a room or home full of inspiration, warmth, one that is inviting, sunny, casual, romantic, cozy, playful, airy, energetic, exciting, bold, or any other feeling you want to achieve.

I have worked on quick updates, using the furnishings and accents the homeowner already has, as well as larger projects, infusing the space with totally new pieces and elements. Beyond giving you a beautiful room that compliments your home, I want to fix the problems that will help you function better. We want to live in the designer rooms we see in magazines and showcase homes, but let’s use interior design to work with our lifestyles that can include the pets, the kids, the toys, and the almighty TV. Yes, we can live in a gorgeous space (small or large) and have it function well for us too!
