It is still amazing to me that I can open my laptop at midnight wearing my pajamas and bunny slippers, and buy everything I need on-line. Remember the days when you needed to get dressed, get in your car, and spend hours going from store to store looking for a table or TV armoire? Most furnishings stores, like , and (whose business is mostly generated from their on-line sales) are open for business twenty four hours a day, showing photos and descriptions so detailed you feel more confident purchasing them without seeing them in person. You are able to now get customized pieces that include choices in stain, color and upholstery. And most have good return policies. Target has mastered this trend, selling everything you could want. Yes you can find just about anything from lamps to wallpaper on-line. The next technological step forward would be to have an electronic device that allows you to view your item in your home as a 3-D hologram in their actual size. The measuring tape would go right in the trash. But until then, buying on-line is still a huge trend that is not going away.
