Your living room walls are sand. Your carpeting is a neutral taupe, too. Your furniture is upholstered in khaki. You want to add some pizzazz to the room with the proper accessories. But you just don’t know where to start.

“Bold pillows on your sofa and chairs will make the room pop. Throw pillows can be an inexpensive way to add pizzazz to a room. The pizzazz can come from color (bold oranges or reds) or texture (silks and linens).
The Morning Call – Decorating The Man Cave
May 2011
Morning call columnist Eloise DeHaan checked-in with Shoshana to find out some of her ideas for decorating today’s man cave.
“When I’m designing the space I always make a list of zones I want to include,” says Shoshana. Essential man cave zones include: The Bar Zone, The Game Zone, The Media Zone and The Tools Zone.
The Bar Zone: Gosselin calls for a full kitchen with a mini bar fridge and kegerator to keep beverages cold, a bar sink, microwave, bar top and swiveling stools. Besides storing salty snacks and beverages, the bar should be well stocked with take-out menus.
The Game Zone: here you will find Ping Pong, pool, Foosball or air hockey tables, a sturdy card table (one with drink holders is a bonus) for poker or musical instruments to practice with the band.
The Media Zone: the heart of the man cave. Here is found a big screen TV for watching sports and playing interactive games like Wii. A good sound system is key, Gosselin says. Theatre-style recliner seats are popular these days, she adds.
The Tool Shop Zone: this space holds tools for fixing stuff; or it may just be a place to hold paint cans.
