A Little More About Shoshana Gosselin
Interior Decorator, Business Woman, Blogger and Mom
Shoshana Gosselin, an Interior Decorator and owner of Love Your Room (LYR), has spent the last twelve years transforming residential and commercial spaces in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
Shosh graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors of Arts degree. She uses her artistic core, urban background, and understanding of finance, to plan out and execute spaces full of comfort and joy.
Her work has been featured in Ladies Home Journal, The Morning Call newspaper, Lehigh Valley Style magazine, HGTV website, design blogs around the country, and her portfolio was voted Most Popular in 2012, 2013, and 2014 by Houzz.com readers. In 2010 her bedroom design was voted one of the top bedrooms on Houzz. Shoshana is a regular guest on WFMZ-TV 69 News at Sunrise demonstrating interior design and decorating ideas. Shoshana also had the honor of speaking at Kutztown University about interior decorating and entrepreneurship as part of the university’s speaker series Women’s History Month.
Shoshana grew up in Long Island, NY finding happiness through art. Hanging around her grandfather, a talented Commercial Artist and painter, she was inspired to think of art as a creative process that has no boundaries. After graduating college Shoshana moved to New York City.
She had a successful career in marketing and communications in the financial industry. During that time she married her own Vermont version of Jim Carey, and together they bought a 1940s fixer-upper Cape Cod style house in Huntington NY. Renovating the home by reworking the inner walls to a more design forward layout, on their own, on a tight budget, inspired Shoshana to change career paths.
She is passionate about interior design, her community, volunteering to create positive impact, and as a dedicated Mom, cherishes her family time.
Shoshana’s Personal Sense Of Style
“I enjoy simple every day beauty. I like fresh, comfortable spaces infused with color and personality regardless of space size. I am drawn to ideas and product finds that have a creative sense of forward thinking design that incorporates pieces of our personal past. When decor of different eras, design aspects, and forms, co-exist right next to each other- it is magical!”
